Inner Mirror

The Hyperreal EP by Inner Mirror (y2k Obsession) broadcasts from a collapsing near-future. Rooted in Puerto Rico’s rave underground and UK breakbeat culture, the debut release pulls from different rooms of the rave: UK garage rhythms under ethereal pads, breaks layered with sharp stabs and pleading vocals, tangled sequences and dub echoes over a 4-on-the-floor pulse, and a closing jungle cut driven by reese bass and heartfelt vocals.
