Templum welcomes Kansas City’s Uun to the roster. Known for what Hardwax has dubbed “straight ahead techno juggernauts,” he takes it to the next level here, infusing all four of the selections on this record with futuristic punctuation and deep, alien texture. 
The EP opens with “Xenon,” a hurtling percussive rocket ship through the atmosphere of a techno Tatooine, greeted by the robotic chorus “Welcome To Xenon,” oozing with pure sci-fi drama. 
Next, he ushers in “The Iconocast”—cavernous, pulsating atmospheres worming and snaking around a broken beat kick and sizzling hats. 
“Red Pyramid” follows, an algebraic sequence conjuring visions of an alien phalanx descending, a hypnotic and mind-bending ride for the dance floor.
The droning and atmospheric “The Sycophant” closes things out, a ghost ship tunneling through deep space, with a rolling and rattling rhythmic engine.
