Neighbourhood is proud to release MJK’s debut EP “Close Encounter”. 

The whole release visually represents a field of beautiful flowers with a dark swampy twist at the end! Picture that sonically and this is what you get with MJK’s majestic “close encounter”!

The sound palette is similar across the EP, deep, lush pads, rhythmic, percussive beats, swirling you into a heady haze - MJ’s Groove, Fiesta 132, Close Encounter… Featuring two collaborations with the brilliant Bluetoof on the B side, Indigo, again in line with a similar sound palette. Yet the last track “sweeter than” ironically takes you by a dark surprise!
