Dave + Sam

Diasporic dance duo Dave + Sam present their follow-up single ‘Not The Same’, hot on the heels of previous Classic single ‘Just A Man’. The two artists are well established as individuals, Dave Giles II for his soulful vocals and GRAMMY award winning contributions to Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE, and Sam O.B. for his funk-laden DJ sets and productions. They joined forces in 2016, creating unique tracks that combine hip hop and other rhythmic genres with modern house sensibilities and outside-the-box thinking, their previous tracks gaining remixes from the likes of Derrick Carter, Harry Romero, Nick Godmode. Working closely with Classic, the New York and Los Angeles based artists quickly established a signature Dave + Sam feel and continued to impress tastemakers worldwide with their subsequent releases. For this latest release, ‘Not The Same’, the pair deliver a more minimal outing, focusing on addictive repeated lyrics that carry a stoic bravado while electronic pulses twist the track into something much darker.
