Dave + Sam

The sound of Chicago, LA and New York come together through Dave + Sam’s latest single, ‘Just A Man’. The two artists are well established as individuals, Dave Giles II for his soulful vocals and Sam O.B. for his funk-laden DJ sets and productions. Together the pair have worked closely with Classic Music Company, releasing their debut album ‘No Shade’ with the house label in 2021, followed by remixes from the likes of Harry Romero and Derrick Carter. Now the diasporic dance duo return to Luke Solomon’s imprint with ‘Just A Man’. Spearheading the track are Dave’s vocals, with lyrics detailing the complexities of human displacement using elevated language and intricate rhythms supported by an earthy dance beat from Sam; organic yet gritty sonic textures entwine with unapologetic experimentation, demonstrating fully the duos distinctive, modern sound.
