Ahead of its full release, GRAMMY Award winning producer and Classic label boss Luke Solomon gives Defected a preview of his upcoming House Masters compilation. Luke’s latest contributions to two of 2022’s most anticipated albums, from Beyoncé and Honey Dijon, are a testament of his technical prowess as an artist, and the upcoming coveted compilation places Luke alongside legends Frankie Knuckles, Masters at Work and DJ Gregory, presenting a musical journey of un-edited and un-mixed tracks from the producer’s illustrious three-decade career. This four-track sampler teases what is to come, starting with his remix of a classic house track from Hercules & Love Affair, ‘Do You Feel The Same?’. What follows is a fresh remix made alongside long-time collaborator and trailblazer Honey Dijon with the unstoppable pairing’s take on Isolée’s ‘Beau Mot Plage’, two decades after its initial release. Rounding off the sampler with aplomb are two tracks from Luke’s work with the legendary Powerdance collective. First up is a previously unreleased remix from legendary artist and contemporary Mousse T., the New Jersey Dub of ‘Power Dance’, followed by the House Version update of ‘Fantasy Light’, that showcases the raw talent of the critically acclaimed house authority Luke Solomon.
