Hifi Sean’s 2018 record ‘Lost without U’, that featured Inner City’s Paris Grey on vocals, was a soulful disco lament fitting for the end of a long hot summer. Now, friends of Hifi Sean, Horse Meat Disco and Phonk D take on remixing duties to deliver their take on this bittersweet love song, and give it new life for 2019. With a string of upcoming Glitterbox releases themselves, it’s unsurprising that Horse Meat Disco take the job on with ease, stripping back the live instrumentals of the original. Their remix has a more club-inclined sound without losing the soulful spirit of Hifi Sean’s work. Next up is legendary German DJ and Footjob Music boss Phonk D, who almost completely strips the vocal, giving the record a dubbier sound while maintaining the up-lifting spirit of the original.
