Sanjose

Sandy Rivera and Jose Burgos go head to head under their Sanjose pseudonym in the dancefloor ready ‘Keep Flowing EP’. Throughout the 90s to mid-2000s, the pair co-produced as Soul Vision, Mysterious People and The Committee. In this release, New-Jersey-based producer Jose demonstrates his slick technical skills with Sandy Rivera showcasing his celebrated funked-up and uplifting house sound.

‘Flowing’ has a funk-infused bassline, building into a whimsical instrumental interlude before swinging back to the probing bassline. The Bonus Beats version does exactly what it says on the tin, exposing the beat and the Minimized Mix has an extended intro for DJ use. Second track ‘Keep On Pressing’ is the more dynamic counterpart, maintaining the swing but moving back and forth between high-energy moments and deconstructed breaks. ‘Keep Flowing EP’ is a timely re-visit into the discography of two mighty producers.
