Celebrating pure house music heritage, new imprint 4 To The Floor Records revisits classic house records, kicking off with this familiar banger from The Hydraulic Dogs. Also known as DJD, Dominic Dawson originally released ‘Shake It For Me’ on Influence (an off-shoot of Defender Music), in the early noughties.

Collating the best of the various mixes of ‘Shake It For Me’, this package includes a mix by house master Junior Jack and the ‘Disco Adjustment’ version, co-remixed with Dominic and featuring additional instrumentation from Chaz Jankel, best known as a Blockhead and for being Ian Drury’s co-writer on hits like ‘Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll’ and ‘Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick’. The third mix comes from Albert Cabrera, a stalwart on the New York house scene over the last two decades, who takes a more layered instrumental approach. Finished off with TBC…’s pumping dub, this is an essential update for discerning classic house fans.
