Following Simbad’s incredible debut on Hi:Rise, Micky More joins forces with former Reel People collaborator Angela Johnson for the label’s second release. While the Original goes deep with warm bass stabs and simple yet effective key stabs, Johnson’s luscious vocal means that soul is never too far out of the musical equation. On the remix front, Fanatix add in a cheekily wandering bassline and bring some additional keys to the front of the mix, Andy & Dave beef up the drums and sharpen the synths for a more main room vibe, while Swedish star Rasmus Faber delivers a retro-sounding yet highly polished interpretation, direct from the golden days of house music.
