Drawing from dub, ‘80s synth pop, ‘90s tech house, and contemporary textures à la Ilian Tape and Wisdom Teeth, Dreamin’ reflects Pocket Candy’s (aka HAKEEM) background as a DJ and his evolving identity as a producer. This introspective yet dancefloor-conscious debut channels both lucid and non-lucid dreams into tactile soundscapes.
