Tengu

The ghost ship emerged from the fog bank with an unnerving silence, gliding atop the waves despite its tattered mainsails lying slackened and unfilled by the utter lack of wind. Atop its deck shimmered brief silhouettes enshrouded in mist, marked only momentarily by the silvery light of the moon. The vessel’s movement was slow and looked as though it had been scuttled, yet it cut through the waters with a purposeful heading rather than an aimless drift. Somewhere, something unseen guided the craft, captained by a mind with no body, a ship sailing under the flag of no nation.

Though dilapidated and beset by barnacles on all sides with its hull pockmarked by cannonfire, the ship sailed onwards, led by the ornamented and iron wrought ram that marked its prow. Rusted and worn down in the course of countless engagements, the great ram still cleaved through the seas with ease, the evidence of its many conquests now etched into its very form. It was this singular feature that had given the ship its name, a moniker whispered by living sailors in hushed tones for fear of invoking the ghost ship's terrible ire. The HULLBREAKER sailed for but one remaining purpose - to drag other ships beneath the waves to where the bodies of its original crew still lay.

AL/SO makes his EATBRAIN debut with HULLBREAKER, a four-track EP that further features Transforma & Tengu and sees the Dutch artist sail to the fore of the EATBRAIN horde to captain the latest release under the label’s unmistakable banner.
