SELP001: 7XINS – One Knob Per Function
Built from voltage and memory, Severn Electronics presents “One Knob Per Function”. A selection of 7XINS’ live work.

One Knob Per Function marks the culmination of a six-year chapter in his creative evolution, a curated selection of raw, unfiltered cuts lifted directly from live performances across a few of Europe’s underground dance floors. These recordings capture the energy and immediacy of the club space, each track steeped in dense atmospheres, dissonant modular tones, and the unmistakable weight of machinery in motion.

Whilst less conceptual than his studio output, "One Knob Per Function" is still driven by a philosophy of tactile control and sonic integrity. 7XINS weaves a narrative of rugged techno built for impact, where chaos is part of the design. Chaotic modular leads clash with brutalist drum patterns, thick with distortion and drenched in atmosphere that hangs like smoke. No DAWs, no polish and no edits. Just machines pushed to the limit. This is club music in its rawest form shaped by hardware, sweat, and instinct. Each cut is a timestamp from a different room, a different sound system, a different night. Moments that tore through the floor and left many memories behind.

7XINS signs off this LP of live cuts serving both as a document of past moments and a farewell to a particular time and mode of performance, offering a glimpse into the relentless pursuit of sonic presence, pressure, and power that defines the 7XINS live experience.

The end of an era. The beginning of Severn. SELP001 is a document of control and surrender, a final offering before the next chapter begins.
