Making his introduction to Leftwing : Kody’s Lost Records this autumn is UK DJ and producer, Sooney, who debuts with his brand new ‘Mexicano’ EP. Since launching on the scene in 2015, Sooney has gone on to release on some of the most respected labels in the industry including Hot Creations, elrow, Food Music, Of Unsound Mind, Jacky & Friends, UNDR THE RADR and many more, and has received support on his productions from Shadow Child, DJ S.K.T, Doorly, Gorgon City & Route 94, to name a few. The ‘Mexicano’ EP showcases Sooney’s distinct sound; displaying crisp percussive drum patterns, hypnotic chopped vocals, a tribal grooving low-end, percolating rhythms and exciting synth transitions underpinned by playful rise and fall basslines made with the dancefloor in mind.
