Darj

Hailing from France, Darj presents a selection of murky, organic, and heavyweight tunes with definite middle eastern flavor and dub influence.  The title track, Ka'Andirah, is full of ethnic percussion and starts with a dreary soundscape highlighted by a reverberant middle eastern style vocal that transports the listener to an ancient past.  Substantial bass, and dynamic rhythms give the sound system a workout pushing you into the future.  Red Crypt continues with the ancient vibe, but adds a relentless sub-bass to keep the dance moving.  Envenom & Seamless Whole push the listener even further into the deep, dark depths of Darj's production.  Finally, Vesta rounds off the EP with consistent half-time kicks placed in a sparse sonic soundscape.
