Just as exploring unclaimed lands inevitably yields hidden treasures, we at Terra Null believe we have discovered something unusually special in the label’s landmark tenth release. Hailing from Munich, Germany, relative newcomer to the Drum & Bass scene Suboreal displays extreme technical prowess in his debut Terra Null single. It is talent that comes across is two distinct manifestations. The relentless drive and power of “Nivision” juxtaposed against the eerie creeping “Spiral” creates a concise and complete journey through two tracks alone. In keeping with the vision and aesthetics surrounding experimentalism that we attempt to cultivate here at Terra Null, both tracks present something fundamentally unique to the medium. Nivision easily cuts through the typical 170bpm standard presenting layers of percussion and bass that rarely manifest within the genre. “Spiral” then turns inward, truly testing how deep and different the tempo can be. We at Terra Null are proud to present to you “Nivision / Spiral” as our tenth release as we push ever farther into unclaimed territory. We hope you enjoy the ride.
