Dutty Audio make their return with the first of three essential new releases for 2015. DAUDIO025 sees Neve deliver the Space
Cowboys EP, on which the Italian producer teams up with Bow, Deniro, Crimson and Axl and Jazzatron on four fresh collab tracks.
Neve, who represents the Dreamers crew, specialises in the kind of deep neuro vibes which have seen him gain support from Optiv, June Miller, Dose, and now, BTK, who has secured the sounds for his Dutty Audio imprint. With more than a decade of experience, Neve is ready to ride the lightning on Space Cowboys.

The title track, alongside Bow, is first, and is the perfect set up for the EP. Floating, flowing effects dominate the intro, before the track drops into something very special. Driving, questing low end rolls around some intricate beats and shimmering hats, before old skool snatches cut in. The cowboys lasso anything in their path with an absolutely killer track to kick things off.

This is followed by a track with De Niro, Don’t Stop. This one takes its time to build up, slowly opening out into some deep neuro vibes. Stirring, stuttering electronics and beats are the order of the day, peppered with slurring vocal snatches, all of which are underpinned by some slow and low bass pressure. The crowds’ll go crazy for Don’t Stop. Street Price, which features Crimson and Axl, is another builder, rising ominously, but beautifully, out of the ether, with rolling off-breaks and a headnodding main drum line. It drops down a level, pushing home the themes and ideas which permeate all of Neve’s work. Don’t even think about sleeping on DAUDIO025.

Closer Barracuda is a joint production with Jazzatron, the Italian threepiece who have been setting fire to d&b all year. This one is a little harder, a little more uncompromising, as the producers ramp up the pressure on the dancefloor, with some maddening samples and straightahead kicks and snares. More and more is put into the track, leaving you gasping and breathless. Beware the Barracuda.

DAUDIO025 is the perfect slice of neurofunk for your ears and your feet.
