Origin

Ryan Origin has been infatuated with electronic music since first becoming exposed to breakbeat hardcore in the early 90s. Soon thereafter, he found himself building a studio and playing D&B at raves around California.

Since his first vinyl releases in 2000, Ryan has collaborated with many talented artists including Photek, Gridlok, Jerome Dillon (Nine Inch Nails), George Clinton, UFO!, among many others. 

Subtitles has played an important role in his musical life, as classic releases from Polar/K, Future Prophecies, and label boss Teebee 
were mainstays in his DJ sets through the 2000s, and modern releases from the likes of Tekel, Brain Crisis, and Nausika populate his sets today. 
Subtitles represents the always-evolving nature of D&B perfectly, and Origin is honoured to have a release on this historic and innovative label."

Matt Deco is a DJ and producer based in Los Angeles who is focused on the deeper side of the bass music spectrum. He's honed a unique style over the past several years, combining vintage soul and future-facing funk underpinned with a focus on sub bass and breakbeat manipulation. His 2013 album Timescales was a welcome dose of vibe-driven music amid America's obsession with bangers and big drops while his latest LP, 2016's Reverse Chronology, sees him exploring the intersection of drum & bass, dub, and hip-hop. A longtime DJ before becoming obsessed with studio work, Matt has been playing clubs, warehouses, and festivals with the household names of drum & bass for the better part of 2 decades. He is very excited to have a credit in the Subtitles catalog with 'Day 3282'!
