Private press go strength for strength on their new outing for Sungate. An exploration in rave infused breakbeat techno with impeccable futuristic sound design. Setting the tone with the swarming bee synths of “Overdose”, a hivemind of its own with an end-of-the-world feeling to it, to proceed into “PWM Break”, breakneck speeds and tossed drumwork, yet permanently drenched ethereal silk-like pads. Equal parts heavyweight and light as a feather, “Raver’s Delight” does what it says on the tin, with Reese bass thick enough to drown you on the dancefloor, culminating with “Rush”, a swung break stomper guaranteed to break hearts and subwoofers.
