Geissmann spent the better half of the year with Wavecheck – his live techno performance with Ill Repute – where he's taken his love of the drum machine to the next level, programming ever-so-complex rhythms. Minimalist elements build up nicely to a sufficient level of grind, while the layers of abrasive textures keeps our interest steady. Splinter holds the balance between harsh and groovy, and it definitely gets under our skin.
