The Southern

After the incredible reception of the first EP on Rob Hes’ own imprint, Pursuit is switching gears and again going deep in into darker territories. For this second release we bring on Italian talent The Southern who after a string of successful releases on Tronic and his collabs with Kaiserdisco, brings us his warm and melodic style with a serious filthy attitude. 

The EP starts off with Kate, a deep sub grooving baseline accompanied with warm chord stabs and a hypnotising lead. While theses sounds keep pushing Kate forward, the percussion keeps delivering with meticulous detail making it the perfect weapon for sets in every style.

Up next is Work Out, where The Southern demonstrates his love for raw deliciousness. Whit the hypnotising arp building, the dark vocals blast instructions towards the dance floor. 

After that, Irish duo Loco & Jam known for their recent hits on Suara and Ironic, grace us with their presence, while they put their own sauce on Work Out. Accompanied by an earth shattering low end rumbling baseline, they transform the original in a true main room anthem affair. 

Closing this monster of an EP is Synchonized which is a cocktail of fluctuating LFO’s on a web of filters, pulsing towards a crazy musical frenzy. By introducing new elements betweens the melodies and intricate drum programming, the tension keeps building, making this the perfect end off the night darkness that will do wonders in the dark and filthy underground clubs.
