Within the pursuit of alchemy there exists a set of governing constants which limit the potential of even its greatest practitioners, diminishing the potency of their concoctions and inhibiting the progress of their discipline alike. No matter the exotic reagent, exacting distillation process, or expert formulation utilized in their creation, the potions of all alchemists are unable to grant to humanity anything beyond that of their highest biological potential. Their philters are unable to transmute elements, only to purify them into their base component form. On the tongues of practiced alchemists, this limitation is spoken of simply as “The Cure”.

It is said that the alchemist who first breaks through The Cure shall attain a position of incomprehensible power, as should no limit exist beyond its bounds there would be nothing to prevent the exponential increase of their ability through the recurrent consumption of their own works. It is thus that many alchemists view The Cure as a benevolent obstacle, emplaced by the gods themselves to ensure the safety of their creation. Yet to others The Cure is shackle that stands between their attainment of that very divinity, and the works of their kind are oft conducted in utmost secrecy, beyond the watchful gaze of those that may deem such attempts to defy The Cure heretical. Many have perished in the rituals of such research, and yet in the deepest dungeons the work of their ilk continues, pursuant of both the weal and woe that its end goal shall surely summon. For now The Cure remains unbroken - but is end may seep through the tubing of a shadowed alembic even now, trickling towards its vitriolic dissolution.

NUVERTAL returns to EATBRAIN to administer his latest sonic concoctions with THE CURE, a four track EP swirling with acrid basslines and potent percussive sequences set to imbue the EATBRAIN horde with an unrelenting vigour.
