Schematic makes his return to Flight Pattern with “The Hermit EP”, a solid four-song collection showcasing his talent and skill as a producer. We start with the warm, lush melodies of “Expectations”, a running, deep roller that gets rough when the time is right. We finish with “Breakthrough”, a ground-breaking collaboration between Schematic and two names that are new to the imprint: Tyr Kohout and Anastasia! This soulful masterpiece of raw vocal talent and synthetic melodies echoes the message of self-reliance and overcoming obstacles, and is a fantastic close to “The Hermit EP”, a perfect reflection of the wide variety of work Schematic brings to the table.
