Selective Response

Selective Response makes his first solo outing on the label this year. Three tracks of different levels of aggression that form the ‘Animosity EP’. With the label now picking up a head of steam, label head, and self-proclaimed Swiss army knife of Techno, Selective Response once more dons his producer hat for some serious industrial beats. Opening the EP, ‘Animosity’ is a gritty roller with bags of energy. 8-bit grime and sparse percussion create a nightmarish hinterland on which icy sonics and huge drums pound the senses. ‘Becoming Nothing’ takes things even further. Slamming kicks and an eerie melody climb into your mind to wreak havoc before steely polyrhythms take control. Finally, ‘Screaming For Vengeance’ soothes the soul with liquid cool sonics and nails hard percussion perfect for the dancefloor.
