Panda Lassow

Panda Lassow finally returns with a brand new 6-track EP of her New Beginning. All tracks showcase a new musical direction combining African influences especially of diverse Batida like Angola's Kuduro and South-Africa's Gqom and Amapiano and their poly-rhythmic structures and soundscapes with her personal roots in Techno and electronic music. Every track invites you to go on a different journey. What her TRORA Releases (ANUS Records) already initiated is now coming more into effect.  
The opener 'Piano Minimal' immediately sets the tone with its log drum sounds guiding you into what could be a part of an Amsterdam dance event or a night drive through Pretoria or Berlin. Kuduro inspired Minimal Techno track 'Maïmouna' invites us to get loose and is an ode to high energy Paris dancer and choreographer Maïmouna. Let's dance with her! 'Compudance' keeps the energy going. Time for some street performance. The rough and forward driving groove of 'Compudance' hypnotises thoughts and lets the body decide. Interlude and Kampala-inspired 'Coocoolocoo' turns the page to the synth-heavy and soft dream of 'Potencia De Kuduairo'. There is potential in the Batida world. Listen only on big sound systems! And finally we start the new chapter with 'New Beginning' - the opener for what is more to come - either to dance to on the streets, at a Festival or in a club. The sonic Panda-universe is unconventional, but made to dance. It's for the brave, the edgy and the champions.
