Innestemme

Arkane

For our third release of the year, we welcome back the elusive Norwegian artist Innestemme. Having debuted on the first Core Values VA two years ago, he now brings his first full release as an artist. 

As a highly successful artist in his other life, his mastery over melodic elements and song structure shines brightly and melds with higher-energy techno for a beautiful amalgamation. 

Title track Reaktor kicks things off in a snappy, drum-focused fashion, and quickly evolves into a melancholic club record. Lush, sweeping staccato strings fill the breakdown for a momentary breath before the drums kick back in. 

B-side Metylen takes a more heads-down rolling approach. Rolling drums and bass immediately build momentum as more atmospheric plucks appear.

Closing things off, Mancheter's Arkane returns with his rendition of Metylen. Where the original concentrated more on melody, Arkane goes the opposite direction and creates a much darker, pumping, and tribalistic rendition.
