We are proud to unleash a new project onto the world of 'deep afro house'. Transatlantic Soundsystem comes by way of creative trade between Durban, SA producer 104 BPM and Bay Area, USA artist Coflo.

One year ago while jamming to 104 BPM's EP 'Interpretations', Coflo decided that he absolutely must reach out to show some love to 104 BPM.  After reaching him on Facebook account (oh..the internetz), the two became long distant friends.  Both software engineers by trade, their bond only grew strong over their love for deep house music.  A collaboration was already in the making!

After many sketch projects and ideas, and full productions completed; the duo settled on this three track (2 song) EP that show cases an interesting melding of the creative minds.  Both tracks are somewhat outside the realms of what individually these two guys create, but together taking chances and relying on the vibes to see them through the process.

Mzansfree - the boom boom...a massive kick drum pushes an almost infinitely building arrangement only to snap for a moment.  That moment is the MOVEMENT! The vocal chant loop snaps into action forcing you to loose or move it.  Either result is fun.

Meu Deus (round 1 mix) - Meu Deus heads into a deeper direction, without being light on the kick drum.  Again, a constant state of building in the arrangement, the song continues to layer without feeling like it hasn't lost its initial deep groove.  

Meu Deus (round 2 mix) - Taking the initial idea of the round 1 arrangement, they lift the spirit of the track into a warmer place filling the holes with warm melodic vibes.  Still making sure there is plenty of quality groove to keep your lower back snapping to the point of breaking.

We at Ocha are excited to see these types of collaborative works.  We have been told there is more to come in the future from these two.  Lets GO!!
