Nuestra décima referencia viene firmada por el artista cordobés Juan. "Blurred Intentions" es un EP que contiene cuatro composiciones de electrónica cálida y emocional de pulso bailable y atmósferas reposadas igualmente evocadoras. Son canciones que desprenden versatilidad y energía, que no quieren conocer limitaciones de género, de ahí que transiten entre un techno amistoso y el house híbrido (deep, acid, lo-fi), de lo orgánico a lo abstracto, de la belleza tranquila a la épica, explorando lo cotidiano y lo etéreo. Tracks que también beben del ambient, buscando nuevas cualidades más allá de la rítmica y los sintetizadores, y que exploran el uso de las grabaciones de campo hasta configurar un universo sonoro singular. El EP se completa con tres remezcladores de lujo: Canino, Daar e Ylia que aportan nuevos parámetros sonoros al trabajo de Juan. Loss of Verticality es un track profundo con una estructura juguetona y risas burlonas y seductoras; sensación de inestabilidad en una atmósfera dub que se mantiene en vilo incluso cuando baja la intensidad. En Factotum conviven varios estratos que construyen un tema épico, una epopeya techno con pads melódicos de reminiscencia ambient y sintes destellantes que derivan en euforia imparable. Blurred Intentions es el corte más narrativo del EP, un relato donde aparecen voces y balbuceos infantiles junto a sintes de textura analógica, con una carga melódica que según avanza el track se torna en melancolía. Bien Viaje es un vuelo imaginario que Juan y su hija (voz) emprenden cuando el mundo se paró en 2020. Cierra su debut como esta invitación al entusiasmo, a usar la imaginación ante un mundo amenazante. Canino reinterpreta Blurred Intentions con apenas dos elementos del original (voz y atmósfera) y recurre a un medio tiempo entre el witch house y el trap, incorporando glitches y acordes de piano que reverberan con nuevos y densos sintetizadores, desembocando en una tensa serenidad. Daar deconstruye Factotum a partir de la sustracción de la rítmica y dibuja un paisaje de ambient preciosista donde respiran los pads del original junto a otras capas que quedaron en segundo plano; una sensación de loop infinito invita a flotar en la calma. Ylia inyecta profundidad y oscuridad a Bien Viaje y convierte el track en un ejercicio de techno sobrio y emotivo de poderoso magnetismo, donde las voces quedan totalmente diluidas mientras que el protagonismo recae en la pulsión constante de un amenazante bajo, hasta remitir en un final luminoso y abierto. Todos los temas originales compuestos y producidos por Juan entre septiembre de 2019 y mayo de 2020. Remezclas producidas entre 2021 y 2022 por los autores.
