Irazu

Time for a new talent in our roster, the Madrid based spaniard Irazu is on command providing us with eight pieces of dark, gray, risky dance electronica with special emphasis on distortion and sonic aggression.

There’s no mercy in this sonic menu, no traces of harmonies or melodies, no predictable breaks or hands on the air moments. This is the soundtrack of a dystopian urban reality, the orchestra of distortion, and ode to strobe lights and fog in a blacked out warehouse.

Think about the best industrial tradition of names like Throbbing Gristle or Esplendor Geométrico combined with the rhythmic pulsation of the early Birmingham techno and you can approximately get the picture.

On Genesis you get your mind and body prepared for the experience you are about to have, starting beatless and going progressively busy into the hard groove.

Sad Hills is a mechanical follow up to the first cut, industrial and linear, mental but with a leather covering.

Coma is the third step, again direct to action rhythm wise but intricated on the sequenced components, leading to A Fix, an ode to asymmetry, made of distorted chaotic drops falling over a martial groove.
