  Severn Electronics unveils its second release, "Mimicry To Hide," an EP by founding artist 7XINS. Building upon the label's successful debut, this EP delves a little deeper into the sonic realms of 7XINS' mind.

  "Mimicry To Hide" features a mesmerising collection of six tracks, four of which are carefully crafted by 7XINS, and two remixes from local legend and London-based artist, Burden.

  From the enigmatic allure of "Mantis Call" to the hypnotic rhythms and textures of "Tempora" and the intricate layers and secrets embedded within "The Audacity To Lie," the EP delivers a multi-dimensional experience. However, it is the title track, "Mimicry To Hide," that embodies the sonic identity of the release.  The track offers complex reverberating textures over a vast sonic canvas, allowing each element an enormous amount of space to breathe, leaving listeners with plenty of eerie undertones to contemplate.

  Burden's remixes add a new dimension to the EP, further enriching the sonic tapestry created by 7XINS. Burden, who needs little introduction in London, provides us with two remixes that take "Tempora" to new heights with his signature yet versatile sound.  Energised with driving basslines, shadowy atmospheres, and hypnotic leads, Burden's reinterpretation of "Tempora" manifests in two distinct versions: the "Broken System Mix" and the "Constant Data Stream Mix."  Drawing from his relentless pursuit of sonic perfection, Burden infuses his signature blend of groove and tension into these remixes.  The "Broken System Mix" takes a more intense approach with its broken rhythms playing on gritty textures that overall come to form something of a much darker and sinister tone, while the "Constant Data Stream Mix" is much more flowing and forgiving, providing a somewhat fun rolling element to a still dark and atmospheric soundscape.  Both interpretations stunningly fit within the concept of the EP.

  In addition to its digital release, "Mimicry To Hide" will also be available in the form of a limited run of cassette tapes.  These cassettes will have more artwork on show that reveals more of the inspiration for the EP and will be offered through the label's Bandcamp store. All cassette purchases will come with digital download cards, so they can also be added to your digital collection.

  Severn Electronics steps further in the direction of delivering an expressive platform for artists, with "Mimicry To Hide" standing as a testament to the label's commitment to creating an immersive sonic journey with room for imagination for its listeners.
