Flumos first vinyl offering for 2017 sees Chocky returning with three original signature sounds of his along with a remix from a true craftsman Orlando Voorn. Higher Synth, the first cut on the record rolls out the instantly recognizable Chocky sound to its full effect. Looped chords set the rhythm in motion at its sweet spot, making you want to endlessly re-listen to this groove. A vocal conversation sample provides for just enough variety within the track to mix things up and keep you moving. Orlando Voorns take on Higher Synth enhances the weight and heaviness of the groove while maintaining the same magic element in making you move. Warm, wooden bass kick and crisp synth layers provide for a refreshingly satisfying take on the original. The flip side contains two tracks, first of which is Seek Deep, a track that was only available digitally on Flumos Unreleased Highlights Volume 4 compilation. It also maintains the Chocky signature vibe whilst paying homage to back to basics, classic house tracks with positive spoken word messages of delving deeper within one another and the music. Closing off the package is Chockys Brush Away, the heat of the track has not dissipated since its initial release, and its hypnotic vocal and horn induced groove gets a well deserved vinyl pressing. Chocky returns to the label with a package, and he delivers.
