A beautiful cross section example of everything that contemporary techno has to offer nowadays, is given on The Nursery’s 13th. It’s high quality stuff, coming from three Italian producers and one from Berlin.

And not just demographically seen is this a versatile EP, also in terms of the music itself there is a great variety of influences to be found within these four tracks. Manuel di Martino’s and Marco Bruno’s opening tracks breathe Detroit, meaning dreamy synths backed by the unmistakable drums of a 909. Opal’s track ‘Silem’ is defined by a textbook Berlin style melodious lead, and lastly, a more fitting closing than Mas Teeveh’s ambient-like ‘Sogno Condiviso’ is unimaginable. 

Few things are as satisfying as EP’s like these, where four various artists from such different backgrounds find their solo tracks blending into a narrative as sincere as this one. But then again, that’s what The Nursery has been all about so far.
