Conrad Subs

(8th April, 2019, London, UK) Fresh signing from rising UK producer Conrad Subs on Warm Ears Music, one of London’s youngest drum and bass labels. The 3 track EP titled ‘Solitaire’ carries Conrad Subs signature big beat stepper style, with a soulful twist that make it a perfect fit for the label.

The release opens with title track ‘Solitaire’ - soulful chords and vocals build the energy to a belter of a first drop; a massive kick and snare combo drives a surging bassline that carries that classic old skool funk vibe for which Conrad Subs is becoming well known.

‘Skin’ follows with a delightfully uplifting tone. A rolling liquid bassline is contrasted by sharp punchy drums, where Conrad Subs character as a producer really comes through. The gorgeous vocal completes the airy ambiance making it a perfect tune to shake off winters chill.

A soulful roller called ‘Leave the Light’ wraps things up with rich textures that plunge into a tense and murky atmosphere. The soothing vocal and acoustic plucks balance the brooding bassline to create a deeply relaxing liquid tune.

With this, his first release on Warm Ears, Conrad Subs continues to expand on his already impressive impact on the scene. Already bagging award nominations and recognition from some major players, it’s clear that a bright future awaits him.
