Pacific

Nightfall returns for 2021 with the beautifully crafted “The Lines On You” EP from Pacific.  Inspired by a year of travel inward, the four songs represent a departure to a more reflective sound, less worried about impact and concentrating more on emotion.

“Broke” starts the journey with swirling guitars and delayed vocals before giving rise to a crisp beat and rolling b-line.  “Hazy” drifts in and out like a distant memory, a dream that seems close and yet just out of reach. Title track “The Lines On You” continues on a natural melodic path with plaintive instrumentation and fleeting vocals cascading over another tight pocket of drums and bass.  “A Sweet Taste” brings our trip to its destination, a vibe slightly more urban in feel that evokes a smoky past as grey skies give way to grey concrete.
