пацаны44 translates into ‘’Patsany44’’ or in english’ ’boys44”. The true meaning is more nuanced and can be read as ‘’guys from the street, hood guys, hooligans, friends’’. The name is meant to represent the duos upbringing in the city of Sverdlovsk 44, which is located in the Urals, built around a uranium plant. 

The duo was inspired by music engendering the end of 90's early 00's such as IDM,DnB and traditional electronics from that time frame.The creative output  and vision of electronic music which inspires this album bears the imprint of that experience.
