Decay is a breakcore and experimental drum and bass/techno label operating out of Virginia Beach, Virginia, focused on releasing material that prioritizes rhythmic density, sound design, and unconventional structure over genre orthodoxy. The label's output spans amen breaks pushed past their breaking point, granular sound design, and tempo shifts that refuse to settle into a single BPM bracket.
Founded in 2016, Decay exists as a vehicle for artists working at the edges of breakcore, jungle, and noise, the kind of material that doesn't fit cleanly on a festival lineup but holds up in a proper system. Releases are curated rather than scheduled, prioritizing artists with a distinct sonic signature over volume.
