Bio
SERi is Shigeru Serizawa, a Japanese producer whose work centres on acid house and techno. The unpredictable patterns of the TB-303 are fundamental to his approach: he builds music around the relationship between its phrases and the rhythm, rather than treating acid as a decorative sound. Early interests in synthesizer pop and the 1990s acid revival led through a period of minimal techno before he returned to acid production. His releases have found a long-term home within the Elektrax group, including Hypnotic Room and AcidWorx. He also helped establish AcidWorx’s artist network and served as its A&R, drawing other producers into music designed for DJ use. Alongside releases and remixes, his activities include live electronic performances and DJ appearances in Japan.
