Bio

As an autism advocate with a background in motion graphic artistry, I am embarking on an exciting and unexpected journey as an electronic music producer. This new chapter in my life began during the Christmas break of 2021 when I watched a captivating virtual exhibition at London’s Design Museum titled ELECTRONIC: From Kraftwerk to the Chemical Brothers. Inspired by the innovative spirit of the exhibition, I felt a pull toward producing electronic music. I believe that this genre offers a unique and compelling way to express oneself, especially with the accessibility provided by modern digital audio workstations (DAWs). Music, after all, is one of the most engaging forms of art for the public. Embracing my newfound passion, I chose the stage moniker NerualMaker, a name rooted in the scientific study of the autistic brain, reflecting the unique perspectives that neurodiverse individuals can bring to creative fields. To hone my skills, I enrolled in online classes, including the celebrated MasterClass series by deadmau5. As I worked on my debut album, Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out, I discovered that my primary genre resonated most with Electronica. This broad and vibrant category encompasses various electronic music styles crafted using an array of samplers, synthesizers, and drum machines. What excites me about producing Electronica is its versatility; whether creating pulsating dance tracks or more ambient pieces, I find the process profoundly expressive and the performances exhilarating. To share my insights, I even authored a Medium article exploring the rich spectrum of Electronica within the EDM landscape, delving into its diverse subgenres, distinctive sounds, and unique vibes. As I develop my voice as a producer, I am eager to collaborate with musicians, bands, and fellow producers, supporting their artistic journeys and enriching the creative process. Additionally, leveraging my background in motion graphics, I’m enthusiastic about creating visually striking album art, dynamic tour visuals, and practical music campaigns that resonate with audiences. This convergence of music and visual art excites me, and I look forward to contributing to the vibrant world of electronic music.
