Bio
JSPRV35’s decisive turn toward techno happened on a festival floor. In a 2024 VPRO interview, Haarlem producer Jasper van der Vliet recalled arriving at Dekmantel as a house listener and leaving with a new sense of what techno could do. He carried that discovery into loop-driven tracks built for impact but designed to jolt a room out of autopilot—his stated aim is to surprise people and wake them up. By 2024 he had played a four-hour Tresor set made entirely from his own productions and launched V35 Records as an independent outlet. His catalogue also reaches beyond that imprint, with raw techno and electro releases on Planet Rhythm, Tar Hallow, Illegal Alien and Renegade Methodz. Records including Robotika, Intergalactic Funk, Transmission and the six-track Aktivist show a producer moving between stern rhythmic pressure, machine funk and more spacious electronic detail while keeping the DJ booth firmly in view.
