Bio

FRANK MAUREL As DJ and Producer Frank Maurel is one of the most notable artists in his country. Founder of Unless Records, he developed an active and important role in the cultural growth of dance music in Portugal, being awarded the MMC 2010 Career Award. At the age of 15, he started his DJ career at Club Europa, and it was at the age of 20 that he became a resident dj at the best club of the 90s, Rock´s. He quickly became one of the most respected Portuguese DJs. His first editions were released on Kaos Records in 2001, having subsequently edited on labels such as Shaboom, Twisted, Sondos until the most recent works for Ovum, Transmit Recordings, Under No Illusion, Natura Viva, Pronto Musique, Raw works, Cerebellum, Bedrock Records, Sublease Music, Unless Records, Faina Records, HomeMade and Spectrum. Frank Maurel has worked for all major clubs: Lux Frágil, Arthaus Club, Stereogun, Central, Plano B, Hard Club, Gare, Salaveiro, Sala 8, Gate 13, Naada 3.0, Lustre, Pedra do Couto, Companhia Club, and festivals in Portugal: Neopop Festival, Brunch Lisboa, Elrow, Meo Sudoeste, having also worked in internationally renowned clubs such as Womb Tokyo, Pacha and El Cielo New York, Space Miami, Rex Club...
