Mantij is a project created by Julian Gomez Mantilla, born in Pereira, Colombia. At the age of 10, he moved to Madison, Wisconsin, where he stumbled upon a box of CDs in a dumpster, filled with music far removed from what his family typically listened to. He spent countless hours absorbed in these atmospheric, electronic, and ambient sounds. From that moment on, his only thought was to create his own sounds, melodies, and songs that represented his existence. He began taking classes in music production and sound engineering since he was 11, gradually finding his place in the electronic music scene. With over 20 years of making music, more than 10 albums as an artist, and several EPs signed with different labels, Mantij pours his stories, feelings, and thoughts into his music.
