Bio

Pascal Augner built Beatamines around a change of movement: after years in Erfurt’s breakdance scene, he turned toward electronic production in 2008 and issued his first EPs the following year. The project grew through melodic, groove-led records for Einmusika, Keno, Katermukke and Stil vor Talent, while Augner also worked as a graphic artist and in A&R. His albums mark useful snapshots of that development: In Motion arrived first, Echoes took a darker direction, and the 2018 LP X celebrated a decade of production with a broader palette. In an interview for X, Augner said most of the album was recorded, mixed and mastered by him in his Magdeburg studio; collaborations with David Keno and Seth Schwarz were completed remotely so each musician could work in familiar surroundings. That balance of self-contained craft and exchange continues through a long catalogue of solo tracks, remixes and collaborative records under the Beatamines name.
