Bio

Boris S. is a Germany-based DJ and producer closely associated with the early-2000s development of schranz and hard techno. His records and sets favour dense, forceful rhythms and a direct warehouse sound, an approach he helped establish through releases such as Candyman and Travel Pussy. As the creator of the Schranz Total mix-CD series, he also presented that music in the extended form of a DJ selection. His production work has appeared on Definition of Hardtechno, Audiocode and Bitshift, alongside his own Skull Tunes, Synopsis and Frown imprints. After a break of almost a decade from performing, he returned to the stage with the hard-edged sound that defined his earlier work, supported by a renewed run of releases and international dates.
