Bio
Bawrut is a Madrid-based, Italian-born producer and DJ whose style is heavily influenced by Chicago pioneers and established European teachers. His taste toes a wonderfully balanced line between classics and brand-new tracks, blending disco roots with contemporary house music.
Following early digital releases on his own Silencio imprint, his first physical release on Ransom Note Records featured the tracks ‘Ciquita’ and ‘1234’, which received heavy support from the likes of Jackmaster, Axel Boman, and Erol Alkan. Industry publications such as Mixmag, DJ Mag, and Test Pressing recognized the release as one of the standout debuts of the year.
Bawrut continued his trajectory with the ‘Rumba’ EP on Ransom Note and ‘Drums of Passion’, his debut 12” on Hard Fist. His remix work, particularly his take on Joe Goddard’s ‘Lasers’, further established him as a significant name in the scene. In 2018, he released the “4x4” EP and "JOMO" on PETS Recordings, and secured a residency at Mondo Disko in Madrid, alongside numerous performances at major clubs and festivals across Europe.
