Techu’s first solo vinyl EP, Youniverse, arrived on LOK Records in 2024. Its four cuts—“Where Do I Start,” “Radio Universe,” “Point It Out” and Pauli’s remix of the latter—move through firm low end, spare percussion and gradually shifting synth detail. The Romanian producer from Brașov had already developed the project through the Nomad EP for storytellers and Backwards Thinking, which opened Micronica’s Chapters series. Subsequent originals and remixes have appeared through Juuz Records, Tzinah, Lemon Herb, Handpicked and other minimal-house outlets. Across those records, concise arrangements leave room for bass movement and small tonal changes to accumulate. Youniverse makes a useful entry point: three originals and one remix connecting Techu’s patient, low-slung approach with a wider catalogue shaped through recurring relationships with specialist labels.
