Bio
Translate treats a record label as part of the composition. The Buenos Aires DJ, producer and composer, born Teo Pellegrino, founded SRIE Records with Pulso in 2013 as an outlet for precise, concept-led techno. Their 2019 album Binary Roots made that shared language explicit, moving through experimental, minimal and science-fiction-inflected forms while bringing both artists together on one full-length statement. Pellegrino’s solo catalogue has since travelled through Warm Up, Semantica, Edit Select, Float, Axis and AWRY, but its emphasis remains narrow in the best sense: controlled repetition, spatial detail and small changes that reward sustained listening. His own SoundCloud also documents work for the Relativity series, including Prismatics in 2024, while the 2026 Talamh II compilation places Translate alongside a newer field of deep-techno producers. Across these settings, the project favors atmosphere and structure over a fixed peak-time formula.
