Bio

Rohar is the darker electronic outlet of Liverpool DJ and producer Rob Harnetty, whose performing background includes a residency with Cream and Creamfields. Launched in 2017, the alias concentrates on techno while allowing room for ambient and less conventional electronic work. Harnetty describes his DJ approach in terms of rolling rhythms, darkness and unpredictability, increasingly guided by the music he makes himself rather than by other DJs. A set in Creamfields' Steel Yard stands among the performances he has singled out as a highlight. Releases on OFF Recordings and Suara sit alongside Ro Recs, the label he started in 2018 to give his more idiosyncratic studio ideas an outlet.
