Bio
For most of its life Patch Park was one producer working alone. Perry van de Vrede had been putting out records since 2008, on Be As One and Elevate among others, then stopped for seven years after 2017. He told Progressive Astronaut in December 2024 that he had asked a long-standing friend, Dennis Roelofs, to come in because he no longer wanted to do it by himself; Roelofs left a job in the offshore industry to take it up. The pair work from the southwest of the Netherlands, run the label District Rec, which now carries most of their output, and founded a second imprint, Secret Village, whose records begin in late 2025. Perry describes a setup that is mostly software: Ableton, the Astra and Diva plugins, and a sample collection deep enough that some tracks contain no synth at all.
