Different Ray is a Tunisian DJ and producer whose music blends hypnotic grooves with cinematic storytelling, rooted in deep and melodic house. Since beginning his journey in 2018, he has carved a place in the international underground through authenticity and emotion, rather than trends.
His productions have been released on respected imprints such as The Soundgarden, Poesie Musik, Hoomidaas, Manual Music, Songuara, earning widespread acclaim. A defining moment in 2021 came when he won the remix competition for Nils Hoffmann’s debut album on Poesie Musik/Get Physical, shining new light on his evolving sonic identity.
Different Ray’s work has received strong support from industry tastemakers including Eelke Kleijn, Nick Warren, Armen Miran, Sultan + Shepard, Nils Hoffmann, Kora, and Carlita, reinforcing his reputation for refined sound design and emotional depth.
As a DJ, Different Ray is a familiar face at Tunisia’s most celebrated venues and festivals, including Yuka, Calypso, Habibi Tunis, Gravity Community, and Molo. His sets balance subtle power with immersive atmosphere, carrying a consistent thread of connection and emotion whether in intimate clubs or open-air gatherings.
