Bio
For Byron Yeates, dance music was part of family life before it became a profession. His parents DJed and organised parties, moving to San Francisco in the early 1990s to be close to its rave scene. Their records left an enduring imprint on his taste, from Deee-Lite and The Orb to MK.
Now based in Berlin, Yeates brings that sense of music as a shared experience into sets that combine progressive house, trance and techno with playfulness and emotional release. His appearances include Panorama Bar, Tresor and Horoom, alongside a residency on Refuge Worldwide. Radiant Love, the party he co-founded, grew from a celebration among friends into a community-minded rave; he later co-founded La Noche and developed Radiant Records.
His productions explore the same space between intimacy and dance-floor euphoria. The debut album Pansy Beat takes its name from a 1990s queer New York fanzine, while collaborations include work with Lawrence Lee, Roza Terenzi and D. Tiffany. The emphasis is on giving people room to connect, with a DJ set’s pacing and atmosphere as important as its individual tracks.
